Pioneers: KS1/2
Our PIONEERS programme is a 10-week programme catering for pupils in years 1 to 6 who have been permanently excluded from school. Pupils follow a programme which combines learning through the core subjects of Numeracy, Literacy, Science and Nature, PE and Humanities and integrated coaching in self-management skills in order to help pupils manage their behaviour and cope more effectively in their next school. We offer a two-week reintegration programme of support for all pupils in order to enable them to settle well into their new schools or indeed back into their own schools.
IN-REACH
New for 2018/19 is the offer to schools for pupils to attend the Pioneers programme during the school week. Pupils can attend for a morning/afternoon per week or a full day - depending on the individual needs of the pupil needing support. We have two activity days a week which are great for in-reach pupils to attend in order to help build the necessary self-regulation skills needed for working in groups with other pupils, particularly during off-site activities.
Please use a referral form to apply for a place on our Pioneers In-reach programme or call Sophie Thompson on 01865 253198 for a discussion about possible provision.
