Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Located across four main sites in Oxfordshire: Oxford, Banbury, Kidlington and Abingdon, we are an all-through Alternative Provision (AP) Academy that provides full and part-time education and support to over 100 students aged 5-16 who are excluded from, or are finding it difficult to fully access, their mainstream schools.

We use a combination of trauma-informed practice, nurture principles and restorative approaches to enable all our students to find the confidence to re-engage with school.  We offer them 'another chance' and provide a high quality, safe learning environment in which to develop positive behaviours and skills which can be used to improve their life chances. At Meadowbrook we work hard to ensure our young people achieve the very best outcomes they can by creating individual educational packages to meet their needs and which equip them for their next destination.

Our aspiration for our students, is that they will re-engage with learning, be successful and achieve their goals.  Our aim is for every one of them to move on to college, school, an apprenticeship or employment and be the best they can be.

Please enjoy browsing through the website - it provides information for students, parents/carers and schools on the many different programmes and services we have on offer.  If you would like to find out more, please do not hesitate to give us a call or even better - come and pay us a visit!
