Oxford is home to the Ashmolean Museum, the oldest public museum in Britain, one of the oldest museums in the world, and the oldest University museum of the approximately four thousand in existence. On 4th February, Meadowbrook added to the Ashmolean's million visitors per year by taking KS3 to look at its incredible collection. We started off in the Greek and Roman sculpture room, followed by the Egyptian section, then the art galleries at the top of the building. It was wonderful to see so much history on our doorstep and to be so close to such artefacts.
