Thanks to the charity 'Into Film', which celebrates the opportunities that can be had educationally through film, Meadowbrook was able to take a minibus full of students to see 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' at Bicester Vue. Starring Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, the film showed a group of adventurers attempting to extract DNA from the dinosaurs in order to facilitate a medical breakthrough. The film was enjoyed by staff and students and created some good discussion and debate about characterisation, plot and realism. Could dinosaurs ever be re-created? The majority view is "no", but the National History Museum website does tell us that some scientists are still trying 'just in case'!! Next stop – Pitt Rivers to check out the dinosaur footprints.
