GCSE Art & Design

KS4 Meadowbrook students have the opportunity to achieve a quaification in Art & Design.  The Art & Design GCSE course is an expressive and experimental course where students try many different ways of working with media and thinking about Art. Students who are with us for the year/two years have the opportunity to study the following courses:

AQA GCSE Art & Design                                      AQA GCSE Art & Design: Photography            AQA GCSE Art & Design: Graphic Design

The Course consists of two units and students have the option of completing a long or short course; last year produced impressive results, and students have used their Art GCSE portfolios to secure places on Art courses at College.

Students who are with us for only a short time complete work towards the GCSE but complete AQA Unit Awards to take with them or 'save' towards the GCSE if they return to us some time later.

Students regularly visit gallery and museums, and exhibit the work they produce in Meadowbrook's own "Visionz" exhibition space.

Meadowbrook College is an AP Academy managed by Radcliffe Academy which is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales with registered company number 9334026 and its registered address at Raymund Road, Marston, Oxford OX3 0PG
