KEYSTAGE 4 OUTREACH PROGRAMME

This programme is an option for mainly year 11 students across Oxfordshire. Students on this programme have an individualised programme, depending on their strengths and needs. The curriculum is delivered individually or in small groups in a variety of locations.

All students have a Key worker who will support students and be involved in all aspects of their education.

The main aim, as with all Key stage 4 programmes, is to enable students to prepare for their successful move into the world of work, training or further education, fulfilling their potential to be a fully contributing member of the community.

Curriculum

All students are offered the opportunity to:

  • Gain Maths, English, ICT, PSHE, Science and Workskills accreditation
  • Have work experience placements and work related learning around life skills and career options
  • Complete vocational courses in Construction, Hair and Beauty, Bricklaying and Painting and Decorating
  • Take part in sporting and creative activities with opportunities to gain, Art GCSE and/or a BTEC in Sport and Leisure.

As with all students on Key stage 4 programmes, an Individual Learning Plan is in place which is regularly reviewed with parents and carers. Students have access to different agency support such as Connexions and the School Nurse.
